Shawn Judge comes to CIS Valued Partners, LLC, with more than 25 yrs experience in the financial services industry. She has experience at every level of retail branch banking including branch management. Her experience in retail banking gives Shawn a unique approach to community outreach and involvement. Developing those community relationships into partnerships helped to propel her as a consistent top performer in the area of sales during her banking career. This earned her the title of number one ranked Partnership Banking Team Captain for the state of RI with her 2006 award as well as being ranked among the top ten Personal Banking Representatives for sales efforts in state of Rhode Island for the same year. That same work in relationship building also resulted in a Spotlight Award in 2007 for exhibiting exemplary efforts in the area of teamwork by supporting growth of four other departments through developing those partnerships within the community.
Shawn’s strong sales background gives her a comprehensive understanding of ROI and the opportunities that it creates in the diversity and inclusion sector of business. Ms. Judge is expertly equipped to sell the business case for diversity and easily implements models that reflect that methodology. Shawn’s first experience with diversity work was while at Sovereign Bank by serving on the Diversity Business Council where she was significant in helping to develop and then implementing profit generating diversity initiatives across the company that reflected measurable ROI for the first time in that industry. Shawn successfully coordinated, facilitated, and implemented profit generating techniques companywide by utilizing community outreach strategies and leveraging relationship building through the Diversity Business Council networks. Ms. Judge successfully spearheaded efforts within the Rhode Island market as a Diversity Business Council member to support and attract business growth of a previously unsolicited market. While serving on the Diversity Business Council at Sovereign Bank Shawn was also a leader in helping to develop the first Employee Resource Groups within that company. By coaching them on successfully facilitating their own profit generating initiatives, they were able to continually drive the business case for diversity within their own markets throughout the company while earning them visibility and respect among management. Shawn’s work in the area of diversity and inclusion earned her a 2007 Diversity Business Council Award for her contributions made to drive diversity efforts throughout the company through her leadership of profit generating strategies.
Shawn’s current work with CIS showcases all of her past experiences. Shawn draws upon all of them in teaching ERG’s how to operate as a business and to support and align themselves with their company’s goals and objectives with ROI, leadership development and strategic initiatives being the primary focus. By using all that she has learned and combining all of her experiences with her work with employee resource groups she is proving the business case for diversity.
