John Cruzat – Managing Partner of CIS Valued Partners, LLC. John is a twenty-year military leader and ten-year executive leader with not-for-profit, financial, operational and human resources experience. He is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of building, designing and developing teams, processes and procedures in corporate and community based organizations.
John is a solution and performance based manager who has developed analytical frameworks, infrastructure and metrics to ensure operational effectiveness and success models. He is a military veteran and community activist with experience leading political transformation, economic development and educational reform.
John served as Vice President of Programs at the Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region where he implemented local programming that put families back to work, improved academic performance in at-risk populations, and advocated for political change to reduce disparities in the execution of public policy.
As National Diversity Specialist at USA Swimming, John developed and implemented a national corporate diversity and inclusion strategy to make USA Swimming’s Olympic National Governing Body and its 300,000-member organization operationally more diverse and inclusive. He executed and managed the National Learn-to-Swim initiative “Make A Splash” to reduce disproportionate drowning in diverse populations, and marketed and positioned “Make A Splash” on the local and national media outlets to gain recognition and financial support from various funding sources.
John generated over $1 million for programming resulting in free swim lessons for tens of thousands of children unable to afford them. He strategized and partnered with community organizations, political/governmental municipalities as well as sport and aquatic leaders across North America to build programming, access and instruction for underrepresented communities.
He developed and lead a national diversity select camp for diverse swimmers in order to build a pipeline for Olympic competition, represented the National Governing Body both Nationally and Internationally on local/national radio, the Today Show, ESPN, CNN and print media (USA Today, Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Chicago Tribune, and numerous local Newspapers and Periodicals across the country). He also presented the Make A Splash national model at the World Sport Conference in Malaysia.
John currently serves as Vice President of Community Relations at real-estate development company, GlobeVest LLC, where he is responsible for media, community, consumer, industry, and governmental relations; interest-group representation; conflict mediation; and employee and investor relations.
